Slatezen

Last updated: 2026-06-16

Slatezen is an offline meal planner that lets you plan a week of meals and build an aisle-sorted grocery list. This policy describes what Slatezen does and does not do with your data. The short version: Slatezen does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Everything you enter stays on your device.

1Information we collect

None. Slatezen does not ask you to create an account, does not request your name, email, or any other identifying information, and has no server or backend that could receive your data. We do not collect usage analytics, advertising identifiers, location, or device fingerprints.

2Data stored on your device

To make the app work, Slatezen stores the following only on your device, using the operating system's local storage:

  • Your weekly meal plan — the meals you assign to each day.
  • Your recipes and meal entries, including any notes or ingredients you add.
  • Your grocery / market list, including which items you have checked off.
  • Your pantry and leftovers entries used to track what you already have.
  • App preferences and settings (such as your chosen options on the settings screen).
  • Onboarding state — a flag recording whether you have completed the intro screens.

This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to Slatezen or to any third party. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes all of it permanently.

3Permissions

Slatezen does not request any sensitive runtime permissions — no camera, location, microphone, contacts, or photo-library access. The Android build declares the standard internet permission as a platform default, but the app does not make any network connections (see "Network use").

4Network use

Slatezen works fully offline. It does not connect to the internet, contact any server, or send or receive data over the network. No part of your meal plan, grocery list, or any other information is transmitted anywhere.

5Third-party services

None. Slatezen does not integrate any analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs, and it shares no data with any third party. There are no in-app purchases or billing libraries.

6Children's privacy

Slatezen is safe for users of all ages. Because the app collects no personal information and transmits nothing off the device, it poses no data-privacy risk to children and complies with COPPA and GDPR-K by design.

7Your rights

Because all of your data is stored only on your device and never sent to us, you remain in full control of it at all times. You can edit or delete any entry inside the app, and uninstalling Slatezen (or clearing its app storage in your device settings) permanently erases everything it has stored. There is no account to close and no remote copy to request, because none exists.

8Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
